“The delivery of a quality education program that ensures that all Nagahanon youth and children are educated, decent, caring and responsible citizens”. After institutional development, this statement tops mayor Kristine Vanessa T. Chiong’s development thrusts for quality education.
In her desire to meet all the school administrators, teachers and students of the 26 elementary and 21 public schools in the city, Mayor Kristine attends the flag raising ceremonies of these schools. It also in these occasions where she engages the school administrators, teachers and PTA’s in focus group discussions as to how the quality of education can be improved and enhanced.
The Punong Barangay and barangay officials of the barangay where the school is located are also present during Mayor Kristine’s Suroy-Suroy Eskwelahan. This enables the barangay officials to see how they can help the school with its needs and requirements.
In her inspirational messages to the students, Mayor Kristine emphasizes to them the three points on how they can help her achieve a better Naga, namely: the proper disposal of wastes, the greening of their schools through the planting of trees and to avoid illegal drugs as these do not bring good to anybody.
In effect, Suroy-Suroy Eskwelahan is the pooling of sectors and individuals together to achieve quality education.
More power, Mayor Kristine !
