The City of Naga has been considered as one of the top most susceptible areas to Rain Induced Flashfloods and Landslides. And while the rainy season is upon us and La Niña threatening even further heavy rainfalls in the region, the Cebu Provincial Government, through the PDRRMO and PIO, in partnership with Smart Communications and the Department of Education conducted a La Niña Information Campaign at Barangays Lutac, Balirong and Lanas.
In line with the celebration of the "National Disaster Consciousness Month" and as part of improving and widening the reach of our services to the Nagahanons, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) together with the Philippine Red Cross conducted a week-long training for Ambulance Management Operation on July 4-8, 2016.
To preserve lives by establishing standard emergency protocols to provide quick response, safer communities and resilient residents during emergencies and calamities.
To provide the City of Naga residents, businesses and industries, and non-profit organizations the education and support necessary to preserve life and reduce human suffering; to minimize property damage; and protect environmental sensitive areas from all types of disasters through a comprehensive, risk-based, all-hazard emergency management program.
About our Service
The City's task force responsible for establishing a framework for disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM), as well as supervise preparations for, and responses to, natural calamities and human-induced disasters. The front-liners of emergency measures in the aftermath of disasters to ensure the general welfare of the citys' residents.
1. Respond/ Carry out basic life interventions during emergencies to promote and preserve life;
2. Assist during relief services for victims during and in the aftermath of said disasters or calamities;
3. Adopt/ promote measures to protect the residents of the city from the harmful effects of man-made or natural disasters and calamities
