A total of 25 Nagahanons composed of tricycle drivers (18), their immediate relatives (4), and 2 others received their completion certificates on Driving NC II Course in a graduation ceremony held earlier today, February 2, 2021 at the Vision and Leadership Hall, City Hall of Naga.
The Driving NC II Course is one of the training programs offered by the City Government to tricycle drivers whose source of income has been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This is part of the Displaced Drivers Resilience Initiative Network (2DRIVEN) Project created to help ease the financial burden and at the same time provide them skills training and livelihood programs. The 2DRIVEN Project is implemented in partnership with TESDA.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Mayor Kristine who took the opportunity to thank TESDA for their continuous support. She also congratulated the tricycle drivers and expressed her joy that they have completed the course.
The ceremony was also attended by TESDA 7 representatives headed by Mr. Jovencio Regulacion, City Councilors Hon. Justino Dakay and Hon. Charmaine Navarro with City Consultant and City of Naga Traffic Management Authority Head-Designate Dr. Junjie Cruz.
