3,000 preschoolers registered in 42 Child Development Centers in the City of Naga are beneficiaries of the city’s Focused Nutrition Assistance Program or FNAP, Round 1 of which was launched on February 10 and 11, 2021.

Parents and guardians of preschool beneficiaries were given FNAP coupons to redeem local goods such as rice or corn, meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruits and condiments from authorized redemption centers.

FNAP is part of the City of Naga’s Early Child Care and Development (ECCD) Program for CY 2021. It is a short term strategy that aims to improve the knowledge, attitude and practices of children and their parents and carers through an intensified nutrition and health program with a budgetary allocation from the city’s Special Education Fund. It is spearheaded by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO). Rounds 2 and 3 will be done in March and April 2021, respectively.

For more information, you may call the CSWDO at telephone number 272-6655 local 131.
