NAGA KAT-ON, NAGA PAAMBIT: The 2026 Philippine Councilors League (PCL) 2nd Quarterly Continuing Local Legislative Education Program (CLLEP) held on July 29-31, 2026 has just concluded.

Over 5,000 city and municipal councilors from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao descended to Iloilo City for a 3-day series of learning activities on Energy, Food Security, Environmental Protection, Digitalization, Disaster Resilience, Cultural Heritage and more during the plenary session, breakout sessions and visits to cultural, historical and tourism sites.
 
On Day 2 where participants were divided into six breakout sessions, our very own City Councilor Junjie Navales Cruz, who is also the PCL National Advocacy Committee Vice Chairman, facilitated the learning activities and knowledge-sharing at Iloilo Gateway Hotel.
 
The informative sharing, inspiring and interesting experiences of Iloilo LGUs like: The Cry of Santa Barbara Historical and Cultural Heritage, the international awardee Leganes Integrated Katunggan (Mangrove) Ecopark as well as the thriving Maasin Bamboo Industry Conservation were featured.
 
PCL National Vice Chairman Kuya Nick Pepito (Toledo City Councilor and PCL Cebu Province Chapter President) graced the activity by giving words of inspiration to the participants. He was joined by DILG Bureau of Local Government Supervision – Local Government Relations Division Chief Diana Baldonado and other PCL servant leaders.
