Ang launch gipasiugdahan sa City Sanitary Office led by Sanitary Officer Virneil Alinsonorin kauban ang mga representatives sa DOH VII, Purok Federation Presidents, Barangay Health Workers, DepEd City of Naga Schools Division ug mga personnel sa City Health Office ug VMCH-Infirmary.
Ang June gi-declare as National Dengue Awareness Month by virtue of Proclamation No. 1204 signed on April 21, 1998 by then President Fidel V. Ramos.
