ANOTHER young Nagahanon brings honor and prestige to the city for successfully making it to the top 10 in the August 2024 Registered Electrical Engineers Licensure Examination (REELE).
On mass motion, the 5th City Council unanimously approved on Wednesday, September 04, 2024, Resolution No. 1521-2024 commending and congratulating Ms. Jane Edje Aguino Sayago for placing 4th in the REELE with a rating of 92.15 percent.
She is the daughter of Mr. Edwin Sayago, the current Sangguniang Barangay Secretary of Balirong, a hilly village of the City of Naga, Cebu.
Sayago became the fourth Nagahanon full-fledged electrical engineer who brought honor and pride to the City of Naga for passing this licensure examination with flying colors.
The three others who all made it to the top 10 in the April 2024 REELE are:
- Marc Restie Sasan Laput, Barangay Tuyan, 6th place (93.05%);
- Paul Anthony Manabat Aliasut, Barangay Tangke, 7th place (92.95%); and
- Vijay Manuel de Guma, Barangay Tuyan, 9th place (92.75%).
The City Council, by virtue of two approved Resolutions Nos. 1315 and 1317, commended the three board topnotchers, along with Ms. Rita Jean Bagsican Cabunag, of Barangay Uling, who ranked ninth in the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) with a passing rate of 91.00 percent.

They all received P20,000.00 cash incentive each courtesy of the City Government.

Meanwhile, Sayago is one of the three Cebu Institute Technology-University (CIT-U) graduates, who made it to the top 10 from among the 1,655 successful examinees who took the August 2024 REELE.
Christopher Regino Brodith Maranga clinched the top spot with a 93.20 percent rating, while John Dale Medallo QuiΓ±ones closely followed Sayago and secured the 5th place with a 92.05 percent passing rate.
The City Government, under the leadership of the Honorable City Mayor Valdemar M. Chiong and in partnership with the Department of Education City of Naga, Cebu Schools Division, has been promoting the culture of excellence by giving honor to outstanding young Nagahanon learners who aspire for the best in their chosen career.
