Mayor Valdemar M. Chiong received a fresh mandate with a commanding 63,102 votes, a testament of his enduring leadership in the City of Naga, Cebu.
Also, the re-election bid of incumbent Vice Mayor Virgilio βJing-Jingβ M. Chiong was a breeze as he ran unopposed for the vice mayoral race, garnering 56,492 votes.
Meanwhile, Team Padayon Naga remains a force to be reckoned with in the cityβs political scene.
The teamβs councilorial slate, mostly reelectionists, dominated the 10-seat City Council.
Second-termer City Councilor β Clint Isidro A. Chiong clinched the highest spot with 45,849 votes, while Councilor-elect β Amelita M. Lara ranked second with 38,890 votes.
Lara replaced her late husband, Councilor Alex R. Lara, a local radio personality, who passed away in November last year due to a serious illness.
Taking the third spot is Councilor β Dominador A. Libor who got 37,688 votes, followed by β Anecito B. Alinsonorin, a newcomer, with 35,998 votes, while reelectionist Councilor β Carmelino βJunjieβ Navales Cruz, Jr. completed the top five slots with 35,875 votes.

The Comelec City Board of Canvassers officially proclaimed the victorious Team Padayon Naga bets on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 past 9 am at Enan Chiong Activity Center.
Guided by the cityβs βService With A Heartβ mantra, Mayor Val, in his short acceptance speech, expressed his thanks to the Nagahanons and assured to never fail their expectations with this new mandate.
